When do I have to start paying for my project?

We send out project offers in the week following your interview and ask you confirm your place within two weeks.

We ask volunteers to pay an initial deposit of £250 towards their project cost when confirming.  If anyone needs time to fundraise this deposit we can arrange to extend that deposit date so we can be flexible but we need to see a financial commitment to the project before we can start planing things overseas.

We provide everyone with our ‘Guide to Fundriasing’ booklet containing tips and case studies from past volunteers and encourage volunteers to actively fundraise towards their volunteer contribution throughout whatever time they have available. We ask volunteers to raise or pay their total volunteer contribution no later than two weeks prior to their project start date.

The earlier you can attend a selection event the more time you will have to fundraising and being able to incorporate Christmas or your Birthday into your fundraising calendar can make a significant difference to your fundraising.  Attending a selection event as soon as you know you’re interested in volunteering overseas is the best way to find out if it is what you want and gives you the most time to fundraise should you accept a project offer.
