Volunteer
VESL aims to provide unique, exciting and worthwhile volunteering opportunities for adults of all ages in rural communities across Asia.
You don't need any specialist qualifications, although teaching skills or experience working with children would be an advantage. The most important things we are looking for are energy, confidence and a commitment to make a success of your project. Training will be supplied, along with in-country back up and support.
All our projects are vetted for their suitability for volunteers and local communities. No project will ever deprive local people of work!

Challenging, fascinating, interesting and fun – my summer with VESL gave me an amazing insight into what life is like in the most isolated communities on a most beautiful island. I have never taught such enthusiastic students in my life (or eaten such unbelievably hot food!). But best of all was the sense that I was making a small but measurable difference to people’s lives. It’s not often you get the opportunity to do something so worthwhile.
