VESL’s Wild Development Fund
VESL initially established the Wild Development Fund from a generous donation from Mr & Mrs Wild in the summer of 2008.
Here is a selection of things the Wild Fund has supported :
- Resources for an school participation ‘English Day‘ ran by Kath McGuire in Kandy, Sri Lanka
- Sports equipment, organised by Olivia Higginson, for one of our school projects in Northern Thailand
- Audio equipment for an orphanage in Andhra Pradesh, Southern India, organised by Lucy Johnson
- Sports equipment, organised by Alex Helm, for a school in Central Sri Lanka
- Sports bags for all pupils of a rural school in Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand, organised by Yael Collins
- School bags, organised by Emma Guest, Sophie Parker and Helen Rhodes, for an orphanage in Andhra Pradesh
- Funding to run an English Camp, organised by Sarah Lim, for children in a Chaing Rai school, Thailand
- Resources for school and the establishment of a school linking scheme, organised by Tom Grunwell, in Thailand
- New microphone and speakers for community events, organised by Alasdair Smith, in Thailand
- English resources, books, jotters and language games for a school in Kerala, organised by Stan Higgit

You can also donate to VESL’s Wild Fund by sending a text message to 70070 with the message ‘VESL20‘ followed by the amount you’d like to donate - e.g. send ‘VESL20 £10‘ to 70070 to donate £10
We guarantee that all Wild fund donations go to the projects we support. None of this funding is used for administrative purposes.



I am interested in raising some money for your wild fund by doing a walk from france to spain this year. I would like to post this on facebook for people to donate automatically can you advise me how to do this.

You can setup your own fundraising page for VESL by going to justgiving.com/vesl/Raisemoney. VESL is already registered with Justgiving.com so it’s free for you to setup and anything you raise for VESL via the site is automatically sent through to the Charity.
Justgiving.com have a number of ways that you can integrate your fundraising page into popular social media sites such as facebook too – click here for more info on adding a donate page to your facebook profile.
You can also setup TextGiving which allows people to donate by texting your reference and their donation amount to the justgiving text number – more info here.
