How to stay in touch…

A huge thank you to all our summer 2012 volunteers, we have had amazing feedback from the in country managers and hosts! We really hope that you will continue to support VESL and stay in touch with our news and events. There are numerous ways you can do this once you have returned from overseas, we really value all the help and support our past volunteers provide.

Become a Student Leader

Help out at VESL events

VESL runs numerous selection and training events throughout the year, we really appreciate past volunteers helping out at these events to give potential volunteers an insight into volunteering overseas. VESL is attending Careers or Volunteering Fairs including Kings College London, Keele University, Edinburgh University, Aston University and many more. If you are able to help out at these please get in touch with Lauren ([email protected]), your help would be greatly appreciated!!

Blog

If you would like to write a blog post about your time overseas we would love to hear from you! Blog posts are very useful for future volunteers so they are able to get an idea of the experience they will have overseas. You can write about anything from living with a host family to teaching to travelling at the weekends, just send your post to [email protected].

Send us your photos & videos

We will be updating our website and Facebook pages with new photographs and videos that have been taken over the summer. If you have photographs that you would like us to use, please get in touch.

Write an article for our Newsletter

We will be sending out a newsletter later on in the Autumn with all our news and updates on how volunteers got on overseas, it gets sent out to our past volunteers and other subscribers. If you are interested in writing an article for it please get it touch with Lauren ([email protected]).

Facebook and Twitter

If you have a Facebook or Twitter account, you can like or follow us to keep up to date with recent news, blog posts and events. We will be holding an event in 2013 to celebrate 10 years of VESL so Facebook and Twitter are great ways to keep up to date with this news!

If you had an absolutely amazing time (which we hope you have!) you could always volunteer with us again! If you do you are entitled to a 20% discount on the cost of the project. 2012 has seen two past volunteers re-volunteer with VESL in different countries, a big thank you to Olivia Higginson and Thomas Grunwell for their continued support of VESL.
