Volunteer Co-ordinator: Renata

Renata is the Volunteer Co-ordinator for our team of volunteers heading out to Thailand on the 7th June. Find out more about Renata below…

1979382_10152259296100520_443951361_oI am a 3rd year forensic science student at Keele University. I have volunteered in the past mostly participating and helping out in sport events but also with a few small organisations as a one day kind of thing (work with children with disabilities, zoos, etc.). I have a vast experience of independent travel, and although I have not been to south East Asia, I have been to India. I have fundraised so far by doing general collections on student nights out, but I have also challenged my self to eat the hottest chillies in the world.

What is the one thing you wouldn’t go overseas without?

A pen and a notebook

What is the one thing you would advise volunteers not to pack?

Computers

If you could give one piece of advice what would it be?

Enjoy the experience to the fullest and become Thai/Indian for the period of your stay.

What are you most looking forward to?

Everything
